Microphone

SynthB asks for microphone access for one purpose: recording audio that you then play as an instrument. Recording starts only when you tap the RECORD control on the SAMPLE page, and stops when you tap it again or when the twenty-second limit is reached. Nothing is captured at any other time, and Android shows its own microphone indicator whenever the input is live.

Recordings are written to the app's private storage on your device as WAV files. They are never uploaded, never shared with us or with anyone else, and are not readable by other apps. Deleting the app deletes them.

You can refuse the microphone permission and everything else in the app keeps working; only recording is unavailable.

Files you import

If you import an audio file, SynthB reads it once through the system file picker, converts it, and stores a copy in its own private storage. It does not browse, index or read anything else on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting SDK, no advertising, no account, and no network code of any kind. The app does not request the INTERNET permission, which you can verify for yourself in the app's permission list on your device.

If you install the app from Google Play, Google collects its own installation and crash statistics under Google's privacy policy. We receive only aggregate, anonymised figures through the Play Console, and native crash reports that contain no personal data.

Children

The app is a musical instrument and is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
